Clipping on the edges thus underweight. Very fine, extremely rare. Nasir-ud-din Muhammad Shah Shuja’a was appointed by Shahjahan as the Governor of the Bengal. When the news of Shahjahan’s serious illness spread in 1658, a power struggle errupted between his sons. Shuja’a crowned himself emperor and coins were struck in his name at Patna, Akbarnagar and Katak. His imperial ambitions came to an end when an army led by Aurangzeb defeated him. He fled to Arakan where he perished in around 1661.
