Silaharas of Kolhapur, Anonymous, Gold 1/2 Fanam, 0.27g, Obv: Dynastic emblem ‘Boar facing right’ with Parasol shown above, Rev: Kannada legend “La”, inside a square boarder, Elephant Goad symbol adorns four side of the square on the outer periphery. Extremely fine, extremely rare in this grade. Three branches for the Silaharas are known, namely, South Konkan, North Konkan and Kolhapur. The Kolhapur branch ruled briefly for less than a decade starting from 12th century CE, and only five rulers are known. The better known king among them was Bhoja, who ruled as a feudatory to Chalukya Vikramaditya VI.
